LAURA KOELLE is a professional cellist based in Greenville, SC, originally born and raised in Chicago, IL. Laura received her music education degree (BS) in Clearwater, FL and then moved to Greenville to pursue her cello performance degree (MM) from Converse College under renowned cellist Kenneth Law. She was the cello professor at Clemson University for 8 years, plays with several area symphonies and maintains a selective private studio.
Laura is most well-known for being the sassy-half of WireWood, a duo famous for its creative takes on modern and popular music, joined by Keith Groover on guitar. WireWood has performed for hundreds (nay, thousands) of local area events, including TEDx, Fall For Greenville, Artisphere, Euphoria, along
with plenty of weddings
and corporate events.
Laura lives happily in Greenville with J.T., the man of her dreams, and their little boy, Harry.
